Your obviously right, forgive me old chap my first language is Swahili.
If I tell you that your not the first person to correct me on the moot point thing I have made that mistake before, but there is surely no need to be a Cnut about it.
I bow to your undoubted knowledge of the English Language and how it should be spoken.

Both decades have a lot to offer.
I think it is a mute question because even if the music is not great but you were a teenager of that era you will always find something wonderful about the music of your youth.
Personally, nothing touches the 60,s and I was not even born then.

I think it's where the invention and creativity comes from. The 70s was about analogue multitrack recording that suddenly produced a huge wealth of interesting recorded music. The 80s was about drum machines and the advent of synths allowing a lot of quite mediocre musicians to make music. Massively popular music but often a bit more about the technology than the music. In both decades it was blown apart by punk in the 70s and cheaper availability of sampling in the later 80s. Both democratised commercial music making due to it being made much cheaper. Yeah, yeah this is a bit simplistic but it is true. Since then there has been loads and loads of great music but most of the invention has come from computerised music making and the fact that almost anyone can make a great record. This means we get huge amounts of rubbish but also some of the best music ever recorded.

For me the 70s was by far the better due to the analogue process, the lack of drum machines and the explosion in Black American music popular music.

Debs that track really sounds like it belongs to a black soul/Motown/gospel singer. Great track.
